Social Media
The dust app can show posts you have made to social media through a platform called Mastodon.
Why Mastodon?
Mastodon is an open source decentralized social networking platform. It allows connectivity from platforms like dust. It does not contain advertising and your privacy is not sold.
Setup
On the home page of your regional:
- Choose
Settings - Under
Social Mediaenter your Mastodon username and server. - Click
Apply. - Click
Publish
Messages
Turning on this feature will display a Messages tab in the dust app. It will show the top 20 posts from your Mastodon account.
When new posts are made they will appear in the dust app and users will also get a notification of the post. Dust app users do not need a Mastondon account to see these messages. Your Mastodon account is checked every 30 minutes.
