Questions

Questions allow you to collect custom information from theme camp and art leads during registration. Instead of using external forms like Google Forms, Questions are built directly into the Dust registration system.

What Are Questions?

Questions are custom fields that appear in camp and art registration forms. They're kept private between you and the organizer—not shared publicly. For example, you might ask about:

• Camp size and land requirements
• Art installation safety requirements
• Special equipment or power needs
• Accessibility accommodations
• Volunteer availability

How to Access Questions

1. Log in to the admin portal at edit.dust.events
2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon)
3. Click the Questions tab
4. You'll see separate sections for Theme Camp Questions and Art Questions

Question Types

Text

Single-line text input for short answers.

Use for:

• Camp name, contact person, website URL
• Art title, artist name
• Phone numbers, email addresses

Text Area

Multi-line text input for longer answers.

Use for:

• Camp description or theme explanation
• Art installation safety considerations
• Special requirements or notes

Options (Dropdown)

Dropdown menu with predefined choices.

Use for:

• Camp type (Theme Camp, Art Car, etc.)
• Art category (Sculpture, Installation, Performance, etc.)
• Power requirements (None, 120V, 240V, Generator, etc.)

Yes/No (Checkbox)

Simple true/false question.

Use for:

• "Do you need power?"
• "Do you have liability insurance?"
• "Will you provide shade?"

Creating Questions

1. Go to Settings → Questions
2. Click Add Question
3. Enter the question text
4. Choose the question type
5. Configure options (if needed)
6. Set as required or optional
7. Add helper text to guide organizers
8. Click Save

Managing Questions

Edit a Question

1. Click on the question in the list
2. Make your changes
3. Click Save

Delete a Question

1. Click on the question in the list
2. Click Delete
3. Confirm the deletion

Note: Deleting a question removes all responses to that question.
